 In a recent demonstration, the People's Liberation Army (PLA) showcased the capabilities of the PCL-191, internationally recognized as the PHL-16 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). The video highlighted the system's powerful firepower, featuring its ability to launch both 370mm guided rockets and 750mm tactical missiles with impressive precision. The PHL-16 boasts a missile range of up to 500 kilometers, significantly surpassing the American HIMARS, which reaches approximately 300 kilometers with its extended-range munitions.

One of the PHL-16's key features is its modular launcher, allowing for easy adaptation to various combat requirements. The system can be equipped with either eight 370mm guided rockets or two 750mm Fire Dragon 480 tactical ballistic missiles, providing flexibility based on mission demands. This versatility enables commanders to deploy the appropriate loadout for either long-range strikes or high-impact tactical engagements, enhancing operational effectiveness.

The 370mm guided rockets, known for their precision, can deliver air-burst munitions that detonate above targets, maximizing damage over a broad area.
