The Ukrainian Wining in Kursk Stopped With a Russian Advance in the Donetsk Region

The situation in Kursk is going as expected previously, with big threats rising in the Donetsk region with the unstoppable advance of the Russians.

The Russians managed to deploy a big number of men and equipment in the Kursk region stopping the Ukrainian advance, and the situation became the same as the Donbass fighting, fighting for every sq m of the land. 

From the 23 of August the Ukrainian forces didn’t advance anymore, they even retreated from outskirt of Korenevo village which they managed to enter it around the 21^st of August.

For the Donetsk front, the Russians are making a constant advance, with the capturing of Novohrodivka the distance between the Russians and Pokrovsk is less than 1 Kilometer. The Russians started also an operation of an encirclement just south of the main line of breakthrough, we will see a big retreat for the Ukrainian forces from that region too.

we notice also a heavy fighting and advance in the big city of Toretsk, which the Russians already made an advance to the outskirts of the city and captured the mines in there, which provide a high ground on the city.

We can expect now after the capture Niu-York, that the Russians will continue moving after the elimination of last resistance in the town towards the rest of villages of Leonidivka and Petrivk then start an out flaking maneuver on Torestsk, meanwhile the forces in front of Torestsk will start guerrilla fighting inside Toretsk, and attack Druzhba village Dachne and start another out-flaking maneuver on Torestsk.

I think these flaking maneuvers are essential for the Russians to keep a fast momentum of the advance of their forces and minimize the losses to the heavy guerrilla fighting in every house and building.

 We can expect also an Russian attack on the axis of villages from Sukha Balka to Oleksandropil south west of Toretsk.

After these failures in the Donetsk region, we don’t know what the purpose of the Kursk incursion was, if it was as a distraction to help the Donetsk region, then it failed totally, or to have a better position in the negotiations, then the Russians stopped any possibility of negotiations till they return Kursk.

Even pro Ukrainian Telegram Channel Deep State UA wrote on the 29th of August:

"For a long time, the situation in Donbas was quite appropriately characterized as 'difficult but controlled.' However, now it is out of control."

Now the Ukrainian forces started a provoking series of drones and missiles attacks on the Russian territories with the biggest one acquired in the night of the 31^st of August with about 150 Drones. This attacks already made a suppression on the Russians the main target of the attacks is energy infrastructure facilities. Apparently, the war will become more violent, and Ukrainian capabilities in using drones are growing.
