The Cheetah
system, a Dutch version of the German Gepard, are equipped with updated radar
and fire control features, enhancing Ukraine's defense capabilities. Alongside
the tanks and air defense systems, the package also includes 22 Mine Resistant
Ambush Protected vehicles (MRAP), two ground surveillance radars, and various
drones and logistics vehicles.
Beyond immediate
military support, the aid package also covers training and additional
resources. Since the conflict began in February 2022, military supplies have
been drawn from national stockpiles, with a replacement value estimated at €5.2
billion. More than 10,000 Ukrainian soldiers have undergone training, with
training-related expenses reaching approximately €282 million.

Additionally,
commitments have been made to provide more heavy weaponry in the coming years,
including 30 PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers and various types of ammunition.
The aid also features advanced unmanned systems, including 30 Vector reconnaissance
drones and over 200,000 rounds of artillery ammunition to enhance Ukraine’s
battlefield capabilities.
This support is
part of a larger financial initiative, with approximately €7.1 billion
allocated for 2024 alone, covering not only military supplies but also
contributions to broader international efforts to assist Ukraine.
