Ukraine's Bold Incursion on Kursk: How Effective Is It and Can They Keep Up the Pressure?

The Ukrainian attack still going in Kursk with many Conflicting news about the situation, gains and losses of each side during the last two weeks.

The Russians are accumulating more and more trained, well-equipped soldiers to the Kursk region and felling the gaps and stop the Ukrainian advance.

 Another thing is that the Russians are attacking the logistic lines ad bases in Kursk and Sumy, if this continue with the intensified fighting, the Ukrainians will be in bad situation in Kursk and also in the Donetsk oblast which already we have reports about an ammunition shortage these days after the Kursk attack.

 Ukraine had also many losses in important assets and equipment, like a British Challenger 2, other M1A1 Abrams, dozens of confirmed hits on Armored Personnel Carriers (APC), Marder IFVs, and other Ukrainian Tanks and artillery in the region of Kursk, with a confirmed hits on 3 patriot launchers and one Iris-T and 4 HIMARS MLRS in Sumy. these losses are huge and very hard to replace in Ukraine current situation.

 This incursion is a tactical success but a dangerous gambling that will lead to a strategic failure, the Russians already made said that there won’t be any negotiations after the attack on Kursk even Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of Russia's Security Council, said:

"They understand that there will be no negotiations until the enemy is completely and utterly destroyed!"

So, there won’t be a territorial trad between the occupied Kursk and the regions gained by the Russians during the special military operation, which in this case kills the strategic purpose of the attack that Zelensky announced of “Negotiating with Kiev’s terms.”
